Alex Walsh to lead Species360 philanthropy programs

Species360 is excited to announce that Alex Walsh, MPA, CFRE, has joined Species360 as Director of Institutional Partnerships.

“I’m thrilled to join the Species360 team and put my experience in fundraising and my passion for conservation to work on the global stage. Species360 is poised to make significant strides in critical species conservation with a wide reaching impact for plants, animals, and humans,”

Alex previously held development and philanthropy positions at Species360 member institutions, Virginia Living Museum, and the Virginia Zoo, and knows our community well. They bring extensive leadership and management experience, including working in collaborative, cross-functional teams within non-profit environments.

As Director of Institutional Partnerships, Alex will lead efforts to source and manage Species360 program funding from foundations, corporate grant programs, and major donors. As a nonprofit, funding supports our mission to foster international collaboration in the collection and sharing of information to improve the care and conservation of species.
