Sylvie Charpentier Joins Species360 as Director of Product Management

Species360 is pleased to welcome Sylvie Charpentier as Director of Product Management. With 26 years of experience in the software industry, Sylvie has held diverse roles, notably at SAP, a global leader in enterprise software and AI-driven solutions. Her career includes experience in development and quality management, instructional design, user research, and product management. She brings a strong background in design thinking and agile methodologies, using them to tackle complex challenges and drive innovation.

Sylvie completed her post graduate studies in mathematics and computer science at University of Orléans in France. She has led teams and initiatives across different regions. Passionate about cultural exchange, she thrives in diverse environments, learning from and working alongside people from different backgrounds.

Outside of work, you’ll often find Sylvie hiking, tide pooling or capturing wildlife with her camera near her home in northern California. 

Species360 is a non-profit organization that brings together a global community of conservation agencies, zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, and wildlife organizations to collect, share, and use vital data on plants and animals under human care. In this role, we provide comprehensive zoological and botanical information systems including one of the world’s largest sets of data on species.
