Species360 Conservation Science Alliance Research Symposium

Driving Global Wildlife Care and Conservation with Data

The Species360 Conservation Science Alliance (CSA) Research Symposium is an annual gathering of leading researchers, conservation practitioners, and wildlife professionals united by a common goal: using data from the Species360 Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) to drive species care and conservation. The symposium showcases innovative research and the impact of shared global data in solving today’s most urgent animal care and conservation challenges.

Why it matters

With biodiversity loss accelerating at an unprecedented rate, the need for reliable, accessible data has never been greater. The Conservation Science Alliance Research Symposium serves as a critical platform for turning complex wildlife data into actionable insight, helping to inform decisions from conservation breeding strategies to IUCN Red List assessments, and international policy.
Each year, researchers present cutting-edge studies grounded in real-world applications, demonstrating how the Species360 community is making a measurable difference in species care and survival.

About the Species360 Conservation Science Alliance

The Species360 Conservation Science Alliance (CSA) is an open and collaborative network of professionals that conduct research or projects that benefit the zoo, aquarium, botanical, and conservation community.
The common thread connecting this vast network is the data found in the Species360 Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) and botanical software Hortis. The CSA aims to leverage the vast wealth of data in ZIMS to further our understanding and knowledge of plant and animal species.
The Alliance provides a platform for community experts to share knowledge, requests and resources, all with the aim of furthering knowledge on species.
