On 24 June, Species360 hosted a free ZIMS training webinar covering mobile Data Entry and Provisional, and the recording is now available to watch.

The webinar provided a helpful overview of the new, mobile-optimized Data Entry in the Species360 Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) and walked viewers through how to record core animal data effectively. Additionally, the session looked at how to set up and use Provisional Data Entry in ZIMS so that new information can be captured quickly, reviewed, and approved with confidence.
The Species360 team highlighted recent improvements in ZIMS and practical workflows that save time and showed how provisional records appear in reports. The session ended with a Q&A section which went deeper into specific examples.
Whether you are a keeper entering records in the field from a mobile device, or a registrar responsible for overseeing data quality at your institution, you will find this training session useful.
Join us on 8 July 2026 for the next webinar in this two part-webinar series, which will cover Daily Activity & Provisional in ZIMS.
Daily Activity gives users a quick and easy way to access recent and historical animal and enclosure data. Attendees will learn how to review data entry at your institution using the Daily Activity report, and how to set up and monitor provisional data entry.
