Statement on PHP Vulnerabilities

News about PHP vulnerabilities has been making headlines worldwide. On 21 October 2026, the PHP project released updates to fix two security problems in PHP.
Species360 does not use PHP for our Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS), so it is not affected by these problems. The Species360 website does use PHP and our web developer has already installed the latest PHP security updates. Our security and site reliability team monitors ZIMS at all times and applies new security updates as soon as they are available. Keeping your data safe and private is one of our highest priorities.
