At Species360, we know our members’ reach extends far beyond the boundaries of your zoos and aquariums. Our members actively support vital conservation, rescue, and rehabilitation efforts worldwide, from the rainforests of Borneo to the wetlands of the Pantanal. We want to empower your ex situ conservation projects to maximize their impact.
We’re excited to announce a new initiative inviting our members to sponsor Species360 membership for their ex situ conservation and animal rescue and rehabilitation partners globally. This is a unique opportunity to significantly amplify the impact of projects you already champion, providing them with essential resources to thrive. Sponsoring Species360 membership is a tangible, direct, and easily accountable solution for contributing to conservation worldwide.
Through our new Conservation Connection program, non-profit Species360 is offering a significantly discounted rate to current members to sponsor their conservation partners’ annual Species360 membership fee. This sponsorship grants them full access to the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) to manage all their animal data needs and to access all ZIMS global resources.
Many of your conservation projects involve unique and critically important species for which limited data currently exists. By adding data on these under-represented species to ZIMS, you contribute to a richer, more comprehensive global dataset. This aggregated and anonymized data helps establish global norms and best practices, ultimately informing daily care and veterinary interventions for a wide array of species.
If you would like to learn more about supporting your conservation partners, please reach out to the Global Member Development team at Membership@species360.org.
Current examples of sponsored conservation partners include the International Centre for the Conservation of Turtles and the Angkor Center for Conservation of Biodiversity (ACCB), both sponsored by Allwetterzoo Münster, in Germany.
