At Species360, we’re committed to continuously improving the ZIMS platform to make it easier, faster, and more efficient for our members to manage vital animal data. As part of our ongoing modernization efforts, we’re excited to announce the launch of a new provisional data approval process in ZIMS for Husbandry!

Users will now be able to edit, approve or delete provisionally added animal notes, weights and identifiers from the Daily Activity tab. Additionally, provisional users with rights to add animal notes, weights or identifiers will be able to quickly record that data through on-the-go Data Entry.

You can learn more about the changes through the below video.

Other updates:

We’ve also added another helpful enhancement: the Daily Activity Enclosure tab now includes the ability to view life support system and component notes. This makes it easier to track and manage critical life support updates alongside other enclosure information. More record types will be added in future releases.

We hope these updates enhance your experience with ZIMS and help make your work a little easier every day. As always, thank you for the work you do, and for being part of the global Species360 community!
