Welcome! Haus de Natur Aquarium and Reptile Zoo joins Species360

We are pleased to welcome the House of Nature Aquarium and Reptile Zoo, Salzburg, Austria, to the Species360 community. The Aquarium's central 60,000-litre tank is the largest of more than 35 exhibits, each with habitats and species representing tropical coral reefs, the Mediterranean, the waters of Africa, South America, Southeast Asia and the region's local rivers and lakes.

LearnZIMS: Aquarist says new course is excellent “how to” for ZIMS

We are delighted to see the response from Species360 members to the ZIMS Training Academy’s first online training course, ZIMS for Aquarists and Keepers! Since its launch in late 2022, the course has received hundreds of registrations and encouraging feedback from early participants. Species360 Team: Katie Curran Joins Species360 as Aquatics Product Specialist

We are pleased to announce that Katie Curran, former Registrar at The Florida Aquarium, has joined Species360 as Aquatic Product Specialist. Katie has been a part-time, consulting member of the Species360 product management team since early October. In this role, she has helped to develop enhancements to the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) that directly support collection and enclosure management for aquariums.

EAZA Academy: ZIMS for Medical Training addresses data retrieval and analysis as well as data input

In April, EAZA Academy will offer ZIMS for Medical Training, a course introducing concepts and best practices for using ZIMS for Medical. The course will cover both data entry and data retrieval. Attendees will learn how to navigate in the Medical module, input data into the eight modules such as Pharmacy, Sample Storage, and Global Medical Resources, and extract and analyze data using ZIMS reports and tools.
