with Curators of Horticulture at Two Leading Zoos

Wednesday March 5, 2025
9:00 am Central Standard Time

Join us for an engaging webinar featuring Indianapolis Zoo and Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium curators of horticulture Suzie Steele and Joe Williams as they discuss the impact of botanical records on missions such as visitor education and species conservation.

Joe Williams, Curator of Horticulture and Grounds at Pittsburgh Zoo, will discuss their motivation for using Species360’s Hortis to change the way the zoo records and manages botanicals, and the experience so far.

Suzie Steel, Assistant Curator of Horticulture at Indianapolis Zoo, will share insights gained from over a year of enhanced data management.

Who should attend: Curators, registrars, horticulture teams and directors at zoos, aquariums, and botanical gardens looking to enhance their garden management and record keeping. Expect to learn how mobile tools such as Hortis can help your institution enhance plant management, save staff time, and inform visitors.

Hortis is a part of nonprofit Species360, which also provides the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) used by more than 1,500 leading zoos and aquariums worldwide to collaborate in the care and conservation of species.

We look forward to seeing you there!
