Angela Benard to lead Species360 philanthropy programs

I’m thrilled to join the Species360 team and put my experience in fundraising and my passion for conservation to work on the global stage. Species360 is poised to make significant strides in critical species conservation with a wide reaching impact for plants, animals, and humans.

Species360 is excited to announce that Angela Benard, MPA, CFRE, has joined our leadership team as Director of Major Gifts.

Angela previously held development and philanthropy positions at Species360 member institutions, Virginia Living Museum, and the Virginia Zoo, and knows our community well. She brings extensive leadership and management experience, including working in collaborative, cross-functional teams within non-profit environments.

As Director of Major Gifts, Angela will lead efforts to source and manage Species360 program funding from foundations, corporate grant programs, and major donors. As a nonprofit, funding supports our mission to foster international collaboration in the collection and sharing of information to improve the care and conservation of species.
