Species360 recently welcomed two new people in part-time positions to the team and a current team member in a new part-time position.

Dr. Alicia Hahn joined at the end of July as a part-time Product Analyst for ZIMS for Medical.  Alicia has spent the last ten years as a licensed zoo veterinarian and is currently completing a certification course in User Experience (UX) Design. She has worked with the Phoenix Zoo, the Pittsburgh Zoo, and PPG Aquarium and completed her residency at the Oklahoma City Zoo. “I am really excited to switch gears from clinical medicine to working as a Product Analyst for ZIMS Medical. My new role allows me to utilize my experience as a Zoo Vet and user of ZIMS for over a decade, to build a product that helps save time and energy and reduce frustration. I used to spend hours every day entering records, and now, to be able to help make that process easier and faster for my colleagues feels like a great achievement. If I can free up more time for them, they can help more animals,” said Alicia Hahn.

Bea Egner joined in August, and works with the technology team as a User Interface/User Experience (UI/UX) contractor. Bea is helping to modernize the user experience of the ZIMS platform. Bea brings with her many years of UX experience, and she was most recently the Lead UX Designer at Express Scripts. “Species360 sits at the crossroads of my career in tech and passion for animals. I’m excited for the opportunity to pursue both at the same time!” said Bea Egner.

Many of you may already know Hannah Jenkins, Species360 Member Training Specialist, who will now divide her time as she joins the Husbandry and Aquatics team as a part-time Product Analyst. Hannah will work with the Product Management team to enhance the ZIMS for Husbandry and Aquatics modules, while continuing her work as a Member Training Specialist part-time.

Welcome, Bea and Alicia, to the Species360 team! And congratulations Hannah on the new role!
