New Member: Ireland’s largest aquarium joins Species360

New Species360 aquarium member Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium is Ireland’s largest aquarium and a member of the British and Irish Association of Zoos and Aquariums (BIAZA). The aquarium is dedicated to promoting and inspiring eco awareness and stewardship through education, research and conservation. The site hosts 95,000 visitors annually and manages a collection that includes sand tiger sharks, Gentoo penguins, Asian short-clawed otters, and more.
More than 350 aquariums worldwide have joined Species360, using the Zoological Information Management System (ZIMS) to manage collections, enclosures, veterinary needs, and studbooks. By recording data in ZIMS, these aquariums also help to curate and share data used to improve the welfare of animals and conservation of species.
