The National Aquarium of Abu Dhabi joins Species360

Species360 is pleased to welcome our newest member, The National Aquarium of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Due to open late this year, the Aquarium will have a rehabilitation center for injured animals, a conservation center with a focus on biodiversity and natural local heritage, and a student education center.

The 7,000-square-meter facility will be the largest aquarium in the Middle East. Led by 80 marine experts and specialists, the facility will educate visitors on over 250 species and include 10 learning zones focusing on marine biodiversity, conservation, and ecosystems of the Pacific, Arctic and Mediterranean. Over 350 aquariums, and zoos with aquatic collections, curate and share vital animal data as part of Species360. In all, the Species360 member community is comprised of more than 1,200 wildlife institutions in 100 countries.
