ZIMS for Studbooks: Over 900 studbooks migrated to ZIMS

More than 900 studbooks managing populations of species in zoos and aquariums worldwide have been migrated to ZIMS for Studbooks, including, most recently, The Association of Zoos and Aquariums of Brazil (AZAB) maned wolf studbook. Neither wolf nor fox, the maned wolf is the largest canid of South America.

More than 900 studbooks worldwide are now managed using ZIMS for Studbooks, including 418 EAZA studbooks, 219 AZA Studbooks, 80 ZAA Australasia studbooks, and 76 JAZA studbooks.

To help studbook keepers deploy their studbooks, Species360 provides monthly webinars on getting started, using new features, and more.

The ZIMS for Studbooks webinars are one of many ways that Species360 partners with WAZA, EAZA, AZA, JAZA, ZAA Australasia, PAAZA, AZAB, and other regional organizations to help studbook keepers establish secure records for regional programs, and take advantage of automatic real-time updates from member institutions.
